David Ohta is a freshmen student at Stanford University majoring in English & Economics. Hailing from Pasadena, California, David enjoys writing short stories and powerlifting.
Teaching Experience: David has served as both a tutor and a teaching intern for Partnership for Success!, an organization working to provide public school students in Pasadena, California, with extensive summer enrichment programming. Last summer, he worked as a law clerk for the United States District Court: Central District of California.
Fun Fact: Visited Cuba for a community service trip before it was legal.
Travis Sosa is a freshman student at Stanford University majoring in Management Science and Engineering (MS&E). As a native of Long Beach, California, Travis spends his days surfing and skateboarding, making the most of every possible opportunity to soak up some sun.
Teaching Experience: Throughout high school, Travis served as a tutor for students at Long Beach Polytechnic High School.
Fun Fact: Went to the same high school as Snoop Dog.
Jake Ebesugawa is a freshman student at Stanford University majoring in Mathematical and Computation Sciences (MCS). A Hawaii native at heart (big island), Jake is a competitive ukulele player and pool shark.
Teaching Experience: This past summer, Jake worked as a U.S. Americorps Summer Vista Associate at Waiakea High School.
Fun Fact: Met Rob Lowe (from Parks and Rec.) at a Stanford football game.
Joe Sommer is a freshman student at Stanford University majoring in Electrical Engineering. Having grown up in Palo Alto, Joe is a former track star who now spends his time playing guitar.
Teaching Experience: In the past, Joe served as a tutor at Mathnasium in Palo Alto, California.
Fun Fact: Trilingual (Japanese, English, Chinese).
